"From now on your A-Z will be my primary source of information of American classics! God save American vintage and its great ambassador!" - Miina Karske of Gloria Magazine, Finland
Old Navy is a casual brand of clothing and chain of retail stores catering to the whole family. The company was started in 1994 as a subsidiary of The Gap. The name Old Navy was taken from a bar in Paris, which the founder and CEO saw during his travels.
Old Navy was originally conceived as a Gap warehouse store, with its clothing, shoes and accessories very similar to that offered by its parent company at a lower price. Since that time, Old Navy has developed into a trend and price-conscious brand catering to the whole family. The advertisements and retail locations are fun, family-oriented and energizing.
Old Navy’s best selling items are “vintaged” t-shirts, flip-flops and items emblazoned with its logo. Another best-seller is a t-shirt with an American flag design and the year graphically displayed on the front which the company releases every summer in the U.S.
