Work shirts are worn by the American blue collar worker. With a design based on military shirts, they can be either short or long sleeve, with front breast pockets and often bear patches with the name of the wearer and company logo.
Work shirts usually have a straight hem, so they can be worn untucked or tucked and are usually paired with matching work pants. Work shirts are made in a cotton/polyester blend for comfort and ease of care.
America's blue collar workers are not just limited to blue for their work shirts, as they can come in any color, including khaki, gray, green, black or striped. The most well-know brands of work shirts in the U.S. are Red Kap, Dickies, Flying Cross, Aramark and Cintas.
